Relay masters
The relay masters sets up the schedule, collects torches and prepares the finished relay for publication online. Usually, the relay master is also the ring master for all of the rings of the relay but not always, notably in the Tenth Anniversary Relay.
Ring masters
The ring-masters provides the ring with the original text to translate, and is the first and last participant in that ring. Most commonly the relay master and the ring master is one and the same person but it has happened that a relay has had more than one text and more than one ring master, notably the Tenth Anniversary Relay.
